Three trucks from Sedlčany will be heading to Baja Poland, which takes place from 25th to 27th August 2023. The race course in northern Poland offers challenging and fast terrain, and the MM Technology team sees the participation at this race as an opportunity to further test the set-up of the vehicle before the peak season. Permanent navigator Frantisek Tomasek will be replaced by the extremely experienced Dakar Rally participant David Pabiska, the client trucks of the Ruhrtal Racing and Valtr Racing Teams will also be present in Poland.

Martin Macik will be accompanied by David Pabiška as navigator, they plan to test Cenda for the top of the season

The MM Technology team has announced its participation in the upcoming Baja Poland, which will take place this weekend in the picturesque surroundings of the Polish towns of Szczecin and Drawsko Pomorskie.

After many years, thanks to favourable weather conditions, the team is returning to this prestigious race and the track will feature the factory truck Čenda, with the experienced Martin Macik Jr. behind the wheel again. This will be the fourth race for Cenda this year and his crew will be facing an exceptional change.

The stable and proven duo of Martin Macik Jr. and David Svanda in the Cenda’s cab will be added by the well-known Czech rally driver David Pabiska, a multiple Dakar Rally participant, as a one-off navigator due to the Frantisek Tomasek absence. Fans can look forward to a dynamic performance full of adrenaline, quick decisions and unexpected twists and turns during the weekend.

“While Ferry will be enjoying his holiday, it will be David who will be enjoying the Baja Poland course with us as navigator. We know him well as he is a regular guest at Posedlí Dakar events and his brother was our team manager for many years. In short, David knows us well and is our good friend. So hopefully he will remain his friend after the race,” commented Martin Macik Jr. with humour on the upcoming change in the Cenda´s crew.

Baja Poland is known for its challenging and fast sections, which gives the MM Technology team a great opportunity to show their stamina, speed and tactics.

“Baja Poland is definitely exceptional in its terrain. In fact, the track offers sandy undulating terrain with fast passages in the woods. It is also specific in that part of it runs through a former military base. Compared to other races, it will be an interesting change,” said navigator David Pabiska.

In addition to Cenda, trucks from Ruhrtal Racing and Valtr Racing Team will also take to the track

MM Technology as racing truck producer will have a significant presence in northern Poland, close to the shores of the Baltic Sea. In addition to its factory truck Cenda, it will be represented by two more client race cars. One of them is the Karel truck, belonging to the Ruhrtal Racing team with driver Florian Skibba.

The trio of representatives will be completed by Michal Valtr (the younger of Jarda Valtr’s sons) with the truck “Andrej”, which, like Skibba’s Karel, was built by MM Technology in 2019. Experienced mechanic Radim Kaplánek will sit alongside Michal in Andrej, with Jaroslav Miškolci as navigator.

The next event for the MM Technology team will be Rallye du Maroc in October, which will be the conclusion of the 2023 WRRC World Cup and the last event before the highlight of this season – January’s 2024 Dakar Rally.
