MM Technology is stepping into the next stage of its rally raid journey with a new partnership and big plans for the 2026 season. The Dakar-winning Czech team has teamed up with Castrol through 2027, introduced a fresh livery for its factory truck named Joseph, expanded EVO4 production, and added suspension options for customers. It all kicks off at Rallye du Maroc 2025, the final test before Dakar calls again.
New trucks. New oil. Same Dakar spirit.
Dakar-winning rally truck manufacturer MM Technology has a new partner for the road ahead: Castrol. One of the most trusted lubricant brands in the world is now backing MM Technology all the way to the 2027 season. First stop? Rallye du Maroc 2025, the final pre-Dakar test for the team’s latest-generation rally truck: EVO4.
As part of the deal, MM Technology will run a high-performance version of Castrol VECTON 10W-60 engine oil, alongside Castrol’s full range of greases, coolants, brake fluids, and transmission oils – not only in the rally trucks, but also in the support fleet. This isn’t a sticker deal – it’s a performance partnership with engineering value on both sides.
“The team at MM Technology are highly ambitious and have a track record of wins, so this will be an ideal partnership – pushing our products to the limit in the harshest environments, and giving us invaluable feedback that will guide the development of our future commercial vehicle lubricants,” says Bjoern Wagner, VP Commercial Vehicles Europe at Castrol. “This enhancement to our existing programme will ensure Castrol continues to keep road-going heavy-duty trucks and other commercial vehicles performing at their best, with minimal downtime.”
Five new EVO4s on the move
Overall, 2025 is a big year in the technology center. At the end of it, MM Technology will have built eight new EVO4 trucks, each tailored to the needs of rally teams across Europe. That includes the truck called Joseph, the official factory team truck for Dakar 2026, which will roll out in a brand-new livery at Rallye du Maroc.
And it’s not just the looks that are evolving. Customers can now choose between two suspension options. Alongside FRT setup, known from past seasons, the newest addition to the range of selectable components is Reiger suspension. No off-the-shelf trucks here – everything is tuned to match the terrain and the team.
“We’re evolving on every level – engineering, materials, partnerships,” says Martin Macik on behalf of MM Technology. “Having Castrol onboard gives us confidence in every component – especially where it matters most: inside the engine. Heat, dust, endurance – you need products that can take the abuse. We’ve worked with Castrol before, and we know it delivers.”
Morocco first, then off to Dakar
Rallye du Maroc (10th to 17th October 2025) will serve as the final full-throttle test for Joseph, MM Technology factory team truck, and Czeslaw, in the hands of White Reds, the newest EVO4 additions. Italtrans Racing Team’s truck called Jenda, the EVO3, will complete the MM Technology start list.
Then it’s off to Dakar 2026, which kicks off on 3rd January in Saudi Arabia. The goal: push every kilometre, test every system, and get everything ready for the biggest rally of the year. And with five EVO4s, new partners and big ambitions, MM Technology is more than ready.
