The MM Technology factory crew of Martin Macik Jr., Frantisek Tomasek, and David Svanda has claimed yet another gold medal at Baja Aragon. In their traditional lineup and behind the wheel of the reliable truck Franta, they secured their fifth overall win at the Spanish rally. Another MM Technology-built truck, Cenda, also lined up at the start this year – competing under the Firemen Dakarteam banner.
Tough Terrain, Smooth Victory
The rally kicked off on Friday, 25th July, with a prologue, followed by three demanding stages on Saturday and Sunday. Covering a total of over 600 kilometers, the route led through rocky, technical, and often extremely narrow sections.
“Baja Aragon clearly suits Frank and our crew, and I’m thrilled to bring home another win. It was tough — both for the truck and for us in the cabin — but when the crew is in sync and the machinery works perfectly, it’s a whole different game,” said pilot Martin Macik Jr. after the finish.
Franta Held Strong, Cenda Kept His Footing
Two MM Technology trucks took part in this year’s race — the factory team’s Frank and Cenda, which has been competing for several seasons under Firemen Dakarteam. Cenda finished in third place, once again proving that trucks from Sedlcany can take on virtually any terrain.
“Franta held up like in his prime — we only did basic service during the rally. Cenda also ran well apart from a few minor issues, so it was a good rehearsal for the next events of the season,” added mechanic David Svanda.
Next Stops: Sedlcanska kotlina, Morocco, and Dakar
The next outing for the MM Technology factory crew will be the autumn Rallye du Maroc, which will serve as a key test ahead of the Rally Dakar 2026. Fans will soon have the chance to see Dakar machines and teams live — on Saturday, 9th August, the Dakar Obsessed OPEN AIR 2025 will take place in Sedlcanska kotlina. Top Czech racers such as Martin Prokop, Martin Soltys, Dusan Drdaj, Alyiah Koloc, and many others are set to attend. MM Technology is also promising a surprise at the event — a reveal from its technology center that hints at the future of rally truck development.
