The Rallye du Maroc has entered its second half, and the MM Technology factory team is delivering an outstanding performance so far. The crew of Martin Macik, Frantisek Tomasek, and David Svanda currently tops the overall standings after three stages, consistently proving that both the crew and their truck are in excellent shape ahead of Dakar 2026. With only two stages remaining, the goal is clear – to bring home a victory.
Tough Start to Stage One
The first stage welcomed competitors in true Rallye du Maroc fashion – with harsh, rocky, and dusty terrain that was unforgiving at times. The route featured steep climbs, technical sections, and deep ridges. Joseph, the team’s truck, showed its durability, and the crew handled the 298 competitive kilometers and nearly 500 km of liaison without complications.
Terrain Challenges in Stage Two
The second stage brought a demanding mix of speed and precision. Rocky pistas alternated with mountain passes, rhythm changes were frequent, and the first sand dunes appeared. Despite the difficult conditions, the MM Technology crew finished second.
“Our truck, Joseph, is being pushed right to the limit, because that’s exactly what we need before Dakar, to really test it,” said Martin Macik. “We’re going flat out, whether it’s over rocky pistas, mountain trails, or dunes with confusing tourist tracks. Thank you to everyone for cheering us on!”
Back on Top
The third stage reaffirmed the team’s determination and readiness. After a few dozen kilometers, the crew overtook Gert Huzink, maintaining and extending their lead at each checkpoint. They covered 323 kilometers of varied terrain — from camel grass and dunes to tricky navigational zones — with confidence. Navigator Frantisek Tomasek once again proved why he’s among the best in the field, and Joseph’s crew secured another stage victory.
Two Days to Go
The Rallye du Maroc is now heading into its final phase, with Martin Macik, Frantisek Tomasek, and David Svanda facing the last two stages. Over 500 km remain — the final test before January’s Dakar Rally. While the outlook is promising, in rallying, nothing is certain until you cross the finish line. For now, the MM Technology team continues to show they and their new truck are more than ready.
